Leadership

“I do not look at this as a job— I love what I do and believe it is a privilege to get to know each resident and learn their personal stories.”
Coleen L. Anderson
LNHA
Administrator
Coleen learned the operations of the skilled nursing industry from humble beginnings, serving as a dietary aide directly after graduating high school. Knowing she wanted to do more, she became a certified nursing assistant where she worked one-on-one with residents for twelve years. After leaving the industry for a few years, her mother became ill and she took a leave of absence to be by her side and take care of her. She decided then and there that she wanted to get back into nursing home care and continued her journey earning her bachelor of arts degree in Psychology, which gave her a solid foundation to understand human behavior while fueling her passion for helping others overcome challenges. After graduation, she took on the role of Activities Director and eventually, the facility Social Worker. She earned her LNHA in 2009 and took on her first Assistant Administrator role at University Place, eventually taking the helm as the facility Administrator. She is deeply committed to her team, the residents & their families as well as the surrounding community.

“I am passionate about providing each of our residents consistent, quality care that is full of love— and the same care that I would want my parents to have.”
Angela Ridenhour
RN
Director of Nursing
With over twenty-seven years in the long-term care industry, Angela leads the clinical team at University Place ensuring each resident is treated with kindness, compassion, and nurturing care. Starting her tenure as a volunteer, spending time with seniors in a nursing home while attending high school, she knew early on that taking care of people was a calling. From there, she knew she wanted to give back and earned her degree to become a registered nurse. She has served as the Director of Nursing for almost thirteen years and is known amongst the local clinical community for taking on complex resident cases and believes everyone deserves great care and a fair chance.
